Register Now for Free Foundational Competencies Training!
To date, over 200 people have taken advantage of our free soft skills training. With SUNY-ESF’s grant funding ending soon, this will likely be the last time we will offer Foundational Competencies training to the public!
SUNY-ESF and MACNY are once again offering free training to AMTEC cluster companies and the general public, supported by funding from the Department of Labor as part of the Advanced Manufacturing of Thermal and Environmental Controls (AMTEC) Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge grant. The two day Foundational Competencies, i.e. “soft skills,” training is available at no cost (including all course materials and DiSC profile). Competencies covered are interpersonal skills, communications, and teamwork on the first day; critical thinking, problem solving, and planning & organizing on the other. SUNY-ESF will award 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU) to participants at course completion.
Our next Foundational Competency training class will be held at MACNY on 8 and 10 November. Class information, including agenda, can be found here. Registration, limited to 20, is available now (click here). Non-AMTEC cluster companies may register up to 3 participants (please contact me if you have more as I will maintain a wait list in the event slots open). Please contact me with questions or comments.
Ten hours of live discussion on topics of interest to manufacturers of thermal and environmental controls.
TEC Topics are typically held monthly, and include tours of cluster member companies. Attendees receive 1 Continuing Education Unit from SUNY-ESF.
