As part of the AM-TEC project, SyracuseCoE and its AM-TEC collaborators have been awarded funding by NYSERDA to establish an Analysis & Design Center (ADC) to assist cluster firms with product design challenges. The ADC will offer AM-TEC companies access to reduced-cost or no-cost Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) design solutions. The shared workstations will be available at SyracuseCoE headquarters facility in downtown Syracuse.
The AM-TEC FEA/CFD Analysis & Design Center is directed by
Prof. Hamid Dalir and Prof. Thong Dang both from College of Engineering and Computer Science, Syracuse University.
Two models of use are expected to be available to firms in the cluster, beginning this summer:
The goal of the AM-TEC Analysis & Design Center is to assist companies introduce products to market faster that are fundamentally better designed. The center will be supported by the AM-TEC project for approximately 18 months, with the goal of creating a sustainable model for continuing use beyond that time frame.
If you have interest in participating in a quick-start pilot project, contact Tammy Rosanio, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Special thanks to NYSERDA for its support of this program.
